COVID-19

new office procedures

The staff at Newmarket Dental has worked diligently to expand our services back to the number of procedures and level of care you've come to expect from us. While many things have changed since re-opening to full time care, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment, which we've made to protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand and at the time of your visit. Let us know if you've had any COVID like symptoms.

  • When you arrive for your appointment, you may come right up to the waiting area. For the safety of our more vulnerable patients, we require all those in the waiting room to wear masks in that space.

  • Before your appointment, our staff will direct you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer at the front desk. Sanitizer is also available in treatment rooms for you to use as needed. In the treatment room, we ask all patients to use an antimicrobial rinse prior to their procedures.

  • Time has been added to appointments to accommodate increased hygiene measures. That might mean fewer options for scheduling your appointment, but as always, we will strive to accommodate your needs.

  •  Since 2020, we have been busier than ever due to increased demand and we’re still catching up. We ask for your patience: sometimes we experience greater waiting times as we work to accommodate emergencies. To better serve existing patients, we are currently accepting fewer new patients.

A number of other measures are being employed to maximize your safety:

  • Staff has been trained in the use of additional Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Medical grade air purifiers will be running continuously outside the treatment rooms, providing cleaner air in the rooms and the hallways.

  • The HVAC filters were upgraded from MERV 9 to MERV 13, trapping more and smaller particles

  • When necessary, we have an additional high volume evacuation system to provide increased scavenging capacity.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, featuring processes designed so that when you receive care, it's both safe and comfortable. We want to share with you some of the infection control procedures we employ to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We also monitor the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued... and there have been numerous new guidelines, with more to come!

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 603-659-3392.

Thank you for your patience and support. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
